Consider the following:
- Domestic violence affects your workforce: 1 in 5 employees in America is a victim of domestic violence.
- Domestic violence comes at a high price: The cost to employers is $5.1 billion nationwide each year, which includes health care costs, lost workdays, and lower levels of productivity.
- Your workers, customers, and community care about this issue: 80% of Americans think more domestic violence services are necessary.
The Center Against Domestic Violence was the first organization in New York and among the first in the country dedicated to combating domestic abuse. Through our groundbreaking education programs for young people, we do more than just treat the problem. We work everyday to cultivate a society free from abuse.
Ways to Make a Contribution
Companies can make tax deductable contributions in any amount to support our organization.
Companies have the opportunity to sponsor one of our many programs, such as a shelter, a day care center, or a school-based prevention program.
The women and children we serve often come to us with nothing. We accept donations of various goods and services, including food, clothing, household items, books, computers and toys.
Employee Giving Campaigns
Through matching gift programs and workplace giving campaigns, companies can get their employees involved in a cause they care about, building a sense of community and teamwork.
If you would like more information about corporate giving opportunities, please call our Development Office at (718) 254-9134 x139 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
